On no account would he allow any boy of bad character to sleep in the audience hall, which served as a dormitory for himself and his helpers.

Charles and others are sentenced to death by fire After the death of Balikuddembe, the following months up to the days of holocaust were full of tension on the side of Christians. To Charles, tension was a means of strengthening their faith.

On that feast we shall not fail to be there! How we shall celebrate it! He died, a martyr, on Ascension Day.
